Garage door repair
Broken springs, openers, damaged panels and doors off their tracks, fixed properly the first time.
What we repair
-
Spring replacement
Worn or broken springs can be dangerous. We replace broken or malfunctioning springs quickly and safely.
-
Opener repair
Not responding, or making unusual noises? We diagnose and repair all types of garage door openers so you can get back in.
-
Panel replacement
Damaged or worn panels can be replaced to restore the look and the function, without replacing the whole door.
-
Doors off their tracks
Broken cables, rollers out of line or something in the way can pull a door off its tracks. Stop using it and call.
-
Noisy or slow doors
Grinding, screeching or clunking usually means worn parts, loose hardware or a struggling motor. Often a tune-up is all it needs.
-
Remotes and keypads
If the remote or keypad only works some of the time and fresh batteries have not fixed it, the opener may need attention. We work on all major opener brands.
-
Emergency same-day repair
Garage door trouble does not keep business hours. Same-day repair is available for emergencies.
If a spring has snapped or the door will not close
- Stop using the door and keep people, pets and cars clear of it. A broken spring can let a door slam shut without warning.
- Leave the springs and cables alone. They hold a lot of tension and are a job for a professional.
- If the door is off its tracks, leave it where it is. Using it can bend the tracks, damage the frame or hurt someone.
- If anyone is hurt, call 911 first. Then call or text 435-554-4962, or tell our assistant what happened.
Signs your door needs a repair
- Unusual noises
- Grinding, screeching or clunking points to worn parts, loose hardware or a motor problem. A small noise today can mean a big repair tomorrow.
- Slow movement
- A door should start moving within a second or two of the button. Slow travel strains the whole system.
- Visible damage
- Dents, cracks and broken panels can unbalance the door and put stress on the motor and tracks.
- Off its tracks
- A door that looks bent, shakes or will not close all the way is dangerous to use.
- Higher energy bills
- Gaps, worn seals and poor insulation let heat out in a Utah winter.
- Remote or keypad trouble
- Works some of the time? After the batteries, the opener is the next suspect.
- Sagging sections
- Uneven gaps when closed, or a door that is hard to lift by hand, can mean tired springs or a door out of balance.
- Frequent repairs
- If it keeps breaking, it may be at the end of its life. Peter will tell you honestly whether repair or replacement is the better use of your money.
What customers say about repairs
We called Trusted Garage Door on Saturday, December 20, 2025 after hours. I wasn’t expecting a call until at least Monday or maybe even later because of the holiday. He called me that very night and said he could come right over. I wasn’t expecting it to be so soon. I was so grateful. He came over late Saturday night at no extra charge. The spring had broken and he even had the parts he needed in his truck. He fixed my garage door quickly and was so polite and friendly. He told us a few more concerns about the door seeing how it’s 24 years old but didn’t try and sell us anything extra and said it could last us a few more years. I feel like he was so honest! The price he charged was amazing with no extra fees! Our garage door works better than it did before it was even broken! I will definitely use him again!
Same day service and was punctual. Needed a hinge replaced and he came prepared.
